Avengers Endgame Pt.0/2

Heads up! this post does not discuss anything about Marvel movies, or how Marvel's better than DC or DC is dark or why we're getting a Black Widow movie, even after she was so vividly killed in the movie, none of those pish posh, your girlfriend won't care about materials, but your teacher/professor crush sure will <3
;)

Marketing has off late, started getting its due attention in the film industries across the globe. However, the marketing enterprise of Hollywood, beats all the others when we talk about the mere size of the marketing budgets of films and shows and the peculiar ways that are adopted which often lead to movies breaking collection records one after the other. With the adoption of a plethora of marketing strategies including brand partnerships, promotion intended tours, marketing on social media platforms (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), these strategies not only fetch massive returns in terms of money, but also help in engaging with not only their existing audience base, but also tap on the potential ones too.

When one talks about films doing marketing, The Walt Disney Studios is one of the many names that’s heard in the conversation, as Disney, as globally successful studio has not only managed to capitalize on the marketing space, but does and continues to on more than one occasions.

In the year 2019 alone, The Walt Disney Studios crossed the $1 Billion marks for 5 of its movies produced. Furthermore, these 5 films, along with other forms of Medias in their respective franchises, form a total net worth of a humongous US$34.7 Billion. Notably, that’s really close to, but still more than the actual size of the North Korean economy that stands at US$32.1 Billion.

Understandably, feats like these are not achieved by relying merely on the turnout rates of the audience at cinema halls at the fundamental levels, but also on how the content was marketed, through which types, forms and varieties of media too. The main aim of all the marketing strategies is to sustain the existing engagements, whilst establishing the new ones, which eventually helps with increased revenue at a massive scale.

By virtue of this, the year 2019 saw Hollywood break yet another record of collection done by a film; except, the film which did so, namely “Avengers: Endgame” not only broke the erstwhile collection records so far, but also became the highest grossing movie of all time, in the 103 years old history of Hollywood. Now I may not be a historian or a strategist, but I sure can count to a hundred and three to understand how amazing the relevance this number here has is!

As much as this example mentioned above apparently falls under the academic premises of product marketing, management and media, the purpose of the next two parts would be to probably offer an insight into the Economics aspect of things connected with the above mentioned marketing enterprises whilst trying to understand and thereby establish a frame of reference from both an investigative and conclusive point of view.

Now this might just be a uh-boring piece of text to most, except, given I really liked the topic, I think of the remaining 7.8 Billion minus people in the world, there would be at least 200 Million of those who'd be interested in the idea of the upcoming 2 posts. Yep, 200 Mil, just bear with my optimism ALL RIGHT?!

The methodology for my research shall be like those of literature reviews as all the assertions, reasoning’s and conclusions I make here would be all based upon a wide range of publications, statistical data, articles and anecdotes available, so basically THE INTERNET, ERGO.

And with utmost humility, I hope this series offers you an insight into how much power is vested and exercised by you each time you decide to share/post/re-post something on a social media platform, regardless of whether you have 10 followers or say, 3000 followers or more;

except, we're keeping 3000 as the upper limit for fan nostalgia reasons; didn't get the "3000" thing?

well then, just

GO
AND
WATCH

AVENGERS ENDGAME!
and while you're at it, and then obviously after you've done watching, I need you to do one thing, and that is to:

*for the next two posts I'll be doing. So, yep, that's it for now;

okay, then, b-uh-bye (for now);

I'll
Be
Back

:)

until then, just stay hydrated, a'right?
